My name is Maria Ioanna, but you can call me MJ.
I’m neither an expert nor an influencer. Not now, not ever.
I’ve been writing since high school, just one of the ventures that I had no real qualifications to pursue.
And that’s how I fell into a seemingly impossible string of adventures: flying international for TWA, helping authoring, consulting, and training, co-founding a conference company, serving as editor-in-chief of a trade magazine, and writing and doctoring books.
And now this. Something that feeds my soul. I’ve had enough of the grind.
I suspect many of you have pulled off things that make my harebrained ideas look tame. I want to hear what the other lunatics have been up to.
Renegade Retirees is a gathering place for those of us who have spent a lifetime coloring outside the little circles and squares handed to us. We’ve architected our own lives.
We won’t all think alike, but our thoughts are our own.
We refuse to accept managed decline as our fate. We see retirement as our third act—a time to cut loose and give our real selves free rein.
